The Offbeat era on Nelson Place was always about Music. We originally wanted to revive the old concept of 'Free entertainment in the Park' by having Live acts on the Rotunda. The mean spirited Council's 'user pays' policy made this impossible and we had no choice but to do it on the street. Many of Australia's Finest Musicians & Bands  played live at the store and these truly Wonderful people provided the Street with many of its most memorable moments.
